Coin Promotion

All of the products within the Merchants of Sheba line are accompanied by a custom  minted coin.  The coins can be collected or used in trade during special promotions.

Just as early man struck coins for trade, gifts and the commemoration of special events, Merchants of Sheba continues this tradition.  Minted on a Philadelphia press, they will endure for many years much like the Roman coins of 2,000 years ago. Earliest coins bore no inscription and the value of the ingots was measured by merchants.  The addition of an imprinted royal seal established its value.  Our coins bear the Seal of Authenticity for all our products.  As in days of old, it is a testimony of its quality, prestige and value.  It is imprinted with a merchant ship similar to those of King Solomon's fleet which carried spices, oils and gold from far away.  Proverbs 31 refers to strength and dignity of the industrious woman who is compared to a merchant ship, and a mother's wise words to her son the King.

About Us……

Merchants of Sheba was inspired by the ancient land of Sheba, a place renown for its merchant trade in precious oils, exotic spices, gold and the rare frankincense and myrrh. The word merchant can mean one who travels great distances or someone who carries a heavy burden. Spice merchants traveled great distances to obtain their treasures, both by caravan routes and merchant ships. The industrious woman of Proverbs 31 is also compared to a merchant ship. Among the myrrh-bearers of old was the biblical Queen of Sheba. This brave seeker of truth traveled from far away to question King Solomon of Israel and test his God and wisdom. She presented him gifts of precious spices and myrrh then returned to her country as a witness to her generation, bearing good news of the One-True, God of Israel. The Hebrew word Sheba means seven or oath. Webster's defines an oath as: a solemn, usually formal calling upon God to witness to the truth of what one says or to witness sincerely intending to do what one says.

…and those from Sheba will come,
bearing gold and frankincense
and good news of the Lord.
Isaiah 60:6
